Bur Oak (Quercus Macrocarpa)

Large uniform oak tree in the white oak family.  Takes about 12 years to mature, but then produces a very large acorn, the largest acorns of all the oaks.  Produces a crop typically every year in early fall. Medium to high tannic acid level. Large size makes them preferred.
