White Oak (Quercus Alba)

Large attractive tree with spreading crown.  Takes about 15 years to mature, but then produces a heavy crop typically every 3rd year but a crop every other year. Sweetest of all acorns due to a very low tannic acid level.  The white oak family drops acorns earlier in the fall than the red oak family.
